Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) provided some details about what to expect now that the GOP has taken over the U.S. House of Representatives — including an investigation into President Joe Biden.
The new Republican-led House rules include the creation of a subcommittee to investigate “the Weaponization of the Federal Government” under the Biden administration.
“We are so serious, it’s not just a goal, it’s a rule,” Greene tweeted, adding what appeared to be a quote from the proposed rules package: “Establish the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government to investigate the full extent of the Biden Administration’s assault on the constitutional rights of American citizens.”
The 55-page document with the rules for the 118th Congress outlines a resolution “establishing a Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government as a select investigative subcommittee of the Committee on the Judiciary.”
Greene also suggested that the GOP-led House could bring articles of impeachment against Biden.
“2023 will be a great year to impeach Joe Biden!” Greene wrote on Twitter.
