January 1, Lone Juror Who Blocked Lindsay Clancy Verdict Stands Firm Despite Pressure

The attorney for the single juror who refused to acquit Lindsay Clancy is fighting back against claims that his client ignored the law.

Edward Paltzik told Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany that juror Michael P. Desronvil stood firm with a clear conscience.

“Michael had zero doubt,” Paltzik says.

McEnany pressed further, asking if Desronvil truly believed the evidence supported his position.

“A lot of evidence. A mountain of evidence,” Paltzik says.

Desronvil was the lone holdout after seven days of deliberations in the Massachusetts case.

Eleven jurors wanted to find the former nurse not criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children, but Desronvil refused to go along.

Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on September 4.

Clancy admitted to killing five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson, and eight-month-old Callan at the family home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in January 2023.

Her defense claimed postpartum psychosis made her not responsible for her actions.

Prosecutors argued she knew exactly what she was doing and had planned the killings.

Desronvil later stated that the physical evidence and witness testimony convinced him Clancy understood her actions.

Prosecutors have not said if they will retry the case. Clancy is due back in court on September 29.
