January 1, Kamala Harris Blames Biden But Dodges Guilt

Wyatt’s Take

  • Kamala Harris calls Biden’s 2024 run reckless in her new book.
  • Harris, media, and Democrat bigwigs share the blame for ignoring Biden’s decline.
  • Party insiders like Obama and Clinton could have ended Biden’s campaign early but didn’t.

Kamala Harris finally put out her own book, yet it mostly glosses over her track record. The one honest point she makes is calling Joe Biden’s choice to run again “reckless”—a word working folks everywhere can agree with.

The real question is who let it happen. Harris knew Biden wasn’t fit and chose silence over duty. That silence is its own kind of recklessness, no matter her excuses about being trapped by loyalty.

“Recklessness” isn’t just about Biden’s decision. Harris and her party bosses played along, knowing full well what they were propping up. She took an oath but put ambition first and failed to stand up when it mattered most.

The media’s guilt is plain too. Many in the press knew Biden’s struggles, but hardly any spoke out. Instead, they circled the wagons, offering excuses and keeping CNN’s few viewers in the dark.

Congressional leaders Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries saw all the same warning signs. Their private talks didn’t go far enough to make any difference. Courage was in short supply in Washington.

Party leaders like Clinton and Obama could have cut Biden off from vital donor money, but refused to act. Their inaction made them just as responsible for what came next.

A handful of Democrats tried to raise the alarm, but they were pushed out. The party didn’t want to learn from its mistakes.

If Democrat insiders had acted sooner, maybe they’d have had a shot against Trump. Instead, they left working Americans to bear the brunt of their bad decisions.

Americans deserve leaders who choose country over party games, not more reckless politics from the top down.
