January 1, Judge Allows Release of Key Trump Investigation Report
A federal judge named Aileen Cannon said it’s okay to release a report about an investigation on President-elect Trump’s election case. This report was done by Special Counsel Jack Smith. Now, they’re gonna release the first part of it. But, they still need to decide about the second part, which talks about Trump’s handling of some classified papers.
It’s important to know that Smith had put his Trump investigation on hold after Trump got elected again in November. Judge Cannon had stopped the release of these reports last week because Trump’s buddies, Waltine Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira, asked her to. They wanted to make sure the report didn’t get out before they were ready.
Even though Nauta and De Oliveira tried their best to stop it, Judge Cannon decided there wasn’t a good enough reason to keep it from coming out.
Usually, when special reports like this are done, they get shared with everyone. They explain what the investigation found and whether anyone should be charged or not. But because Trump is about to be president again, he can’t be charged while in office. So, it doesn’t really matter what the report says about prosecution.
We’ve seen stuff like this before. The Attorney General, Merrick Garland, has shared reports from other investigations too. For example, there was John Durham’s report about where the whole Trump-Russia thing came from. And also Robert Hur’s investigation into President Biden’s handling of classified documents.
So, folks, stay tuned. This is just the start of what could be some big talking points in the future.

Investigate Trump’s handling of documents? As if Biden’s handling of Top Secret documents was better? Biden removed documents from a Skiff in 1974 and he had NO authorization to do so, then having documents scattered throughout his garage in open boxes? What the hell!
Perhaps Donald’s off-spring could have sold documents as art, like Hunter for hundreds of thousands and all would have been “A-OK”?
