January 1, Jersey GOP Sees Chance to Flip Governor’s Seat
Wyatt’s Take
- Republicans have a shot to win the New Jersey governor’s race with strong turnout.
- High taxes and soaring energy costs have voters fed up with Democrat policies.
- Early voting and mail-in ballots could tip the scales for Jack Ciattarelli.
The New Jersey governor’s race is closer than most folks might think, with Republican Jack Ciattarelli in reach if voters show up in big numbers. Scott Presler highlighted that in the last election, only 84,000 votes made the difference—and hundreds of thousands of potential Republican voters sat it out.
“The election was decided by 84,000 votes. Two hundred and fifty thousand gun owners in New Jersey are not registered to vote. If our beautiful gun community or Second Amendment advocates registered and mobilized and voted, New Jersey would be a Republican state — would be a red state,” Presler said.
Many New Jersey families are feeling squeezed by property taxes, forcing some who left New York’s high costs to rethink even staying in the state. Electric bills keep marching up while Democrats keep the state sanctuary-friendly and block tough border laws. Presler called out Democrat Mikie Sherrill, questioning her honesty and financial windfalls during her time in Congress.
“What is Mikie Sherrill thinking, not being honest about the fact that she can even walk with her class at the Naval Academy, and if you talk about integrity and honesty, why is Mikie Sherrill not being honest about that scandal that happened? And so really this race, this is 50/50,” Presler stated.
Presler urged New Jerseyans to vote, no matter how they do it. Early voting starts October 25 and lasts nine days, and he called for voters to cast their ballots for Ciattarelli in person if possible.
“If you do in-person early voting, we can stop anything bad from happening on election day, like machines having errors or running out of paper or bad weather or just something going wrong. Don’t let this election be taken from you. I need you to vote early in person for Jack Ciattarelli,” he said, pushing for a Republican win down the line to lower costs and restore common sense.
Presler wrapped up by noting that every vote will count this time, with Republicans making real gains on early and mail-in returns. He called the race winnable if folks seize the moment.
Wyatt Matters
This election shows just how important it is for everyday people to make their voices heard. When hardworking Americans turn out, they can move their state toward sanity, lower costs, and real accountability in government.
