January 1, Iranian Cleric Calls For Protester Executions

Wyatt’s Take

  • Powerful cleric demands death for protestors in Iran.
  • Threats made directly against Trump and Netanyahu.
  • Massive regime crackdown leaves thousands dead.

Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, a top Iranian cleric, called for the execution of anti-government protesters during a fiery sermon. He also issued warnings to President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Khatami is close to Iran’s top leader and holds seats on Iran’s highest religious councils, giving him broad influence. His positions strengthen the regime’s grasp and keep real elections out of the people’s hands.

Khatami leads prayers in Tehran and used his pulpit to argue that any protest against Iran’s Supreme Leader deserves the death sentence.

“Any threat against the Supreme Leader is waging war on God, which carries a death sentence,” he proclaimed.

He called protestors “Netanyahu’s butlers” and “Trump’s soldiers,” accusing thousands in the streets of being pawns for Israel and the U.S.

“They should wait for hard revenge from the system. Americans and Zionists should not expect peace,” he railed.

During his speech, Khatami claimed hundreds of mosques and other sites were damaged. He said hospitals, ambulances, and emergency vehicles were also destroyed in the chaos.

The crowd reportedly shouted, “Armed hypocrites should be put to death!” in response to the cleric’s words.

Other Iranian leaders have also painted the demonstrations as foreign plots from America and Israel. Protesters are branded as terrorists and criminals in state media efforts to keep the movement down.

Thousands lost their lives in this week’s crackdown, as the regime used violence to stamp out more protests. There were also reports of medical workers killed and fires set at public offices during the unrest.

For folks here at home, it’s a sharp reminder of what happens when leadership betrays its people and silences dissent with force. No government should ever turn against its own like this.

So I guess the “cleric” doesn’t trust in God to do His will for Iran! I support taking down this evil regime before more people are executed. Praying for Gods will to be done

These infidels, Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, etc., , have less contact and blessings of God than does the serpent in the Garden of Eden, and spew their blasphemy and diatribe trying to scare the ignorant in Iran. “waging war on God” he says and expects the world to believe that he speaks for God. What a joke this court jester is. The fool had better realize that for him and his hand full of followers, if he has that many, had better walk softly around the US.
