Wyatt’s Take

  • Sen. Jon Ossoff kicked off his re-election with harsh words for Trump and conservatives.
  • He demanded government-issued ID to attend but opposes common-sense voter ID laws.
  • The Trump administration just made prescription drugs and food aid more affordable for hardworking Americans.

Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff started his campaign in Atlanta on Saturday, attacking President Trump and Republicans. He compared them to Nazis and white supremacists at his rally.

“Trump, JD Vance, Stephen Miller,” Ossoff said. “They offer a small, closed, menacing vision of America defined by fear and scarcity and exclusion. They imitate the blood and soil rhetoric of history’s worst regimes.”

This same week, an Ohio man was charged for threatening to kill J.D. Vance. Ossoff also took shots at ICE agents, mocking them as “pretend Delta Force operators.”

ICE officers work to arrest serious criminals, including those who have committed violent crimes against Americans. Ossoff does not support law enforcement, putting Georgians at risk.

The federal government publishes lists of dangerous illegal immigrants arrested for crimes like child abuse and domestic violence. Ossoff required people to show ID to attend his event, but he’s against laws that ask for ID when voting in federal elections.

Jon Ossoff is about to vote against the SAVE Act, but made sure everyone had ID to see him speak in Atlanta. There’s often more security at a political rally than at the ballot box these days.

He also made false claims that Trump closed rural clinics, when Ossoff himself voted against funding for Georgia’s rural healthcare.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has cut prescription drug costs with the launch of Trump RX, covering 40 common medicines and saving families thousands on fertility drugs. They also reformed nutrition programs that help millions put food on the table.
