January 1, FedEx Driver Questioned over Hundreds of Packages in Woods
Authorities questioned a FedEx driver following the discovery of hundreds of packages in a wooded area in Alabama.
Sheriff Mark Moon said roughly 400 packages were found in a ravine near the small town of Hayden in Blount County.
According to the Associated Press, investigators spoke to FedEx security personnel and identified a driver. Authorities didn’t release the name of the driver.
FedEx said in a statement that the driver in question is no longer providing service for their company.
“The security of our customers’ shipments is a top priority and we are committed to treating our customers’ packages with the utmost care,” FedEx said.
The company added that it would deliver recovered packages wherever possible and resolve any damaged shipments.
