  • The FBI says the Minneapolis Catholic school shooting was planned with anti-religious hate.
  • The shooter made violent threats against faith and political leaders in his writings.
  • All guns recovered were bought legally, according to police.

The FBI now says the shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis was an act of domestic terrorism powered by a hateful ideology. The attack had anti-religious messages written in a manifesto and even on the shooter’s firearms.

“As we continue to investigate yesterday’s barbaric attack from Robert [Robin] Westman, the male subject, our teams have gathered information and evidence demonstrating this was an act of domestic terrorism motivated by a hate-filled ideology.”

Director Kash Patel shared more, “Subject left multiple anti-Catholic, anti-religious references both in his manifesto and written on his firearms. Subject expressed hatred and violence toward Jewish people, writing ‘Israel must fall,’ ‘Free Palestine,’ and using explicit language related to the Holocaust.”

He added, “He wrote an explicit call for violence against President Trump on a firearm magazine.”

The investigation is still active, and Patel promises no stone will be left unturned to prevent future attacks.

Police identified the shooter as Robin Westman, born Robert Westman, age 23. He fired into a Mass filled with students at Annunciation Catholic Church, taking the lives of two children and hurting seventeen more, including fourteen kids.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara confirmed that three guns were found at the scene—all of them had been bought legally by the shooter.

Officers have also recovered a manifesto, which the attacker timed to appear on YouTube. The video footage was quickly pulled down and is being reviewed by investigators.

The town is left mourning the young lives lost and praying for healing at Annunciation Catholic Church.
