January 1, Fast Food Chain Unveils Game-Changing Elevated Drive-Thru in Georgia

In a bold move to revolutionize the fast food experience, Chick-fil-A has proudly announced the grand opening of their first-ever elevated drive-thru restaurant right in the heart of Georgia.
Born from the enterprising spirit of the beloved Atlanta-based fast-food giant, the innovative restaurant in McDonough features an impressive, super-sized kitchen situated above a quadruple set of drive-thru lanes, as outlined in a company press release.
This trailblazing facility, serving America’s favorite chicken from dawn till dusk every day except Sundays, targets convenience by putting a laser-like focus on the drive-thru experience. This is a departure from traditional models, with the absence of a dining option underscoring this new direction.
The company has ingeniously crafted a sophisticated conveyor belt system to expedite the delivery process, swiftly moving orders from the overhead kitchen to the eager team member below—it’s a ballet of efficiency that can serve up a meal every six seconds.
As Chick-fil-A triumphantly asserts, loyal patrons can look forward to the same dedicated service and quality they’ve come to expect, now streamlined for an effortless drive-thru encounter.
For this elevated drive-thru location, Chick-fil-A leaves no stone unturned in its commitment to customer convenience. Patrons can either use the Chick-fil-A app for advance orders or directly voice their whetted cravings to an on-site team member. The location, accommodating a harmonious blend of Mobile Thru lanes and time-honored lanes, caters to all customers’ preferences.
The company’s strategic innovation reportedly accommodates two to three times as many vehicles—a testament to its commitment to efficiency and customer satisfaction.
With an eye on improving service speed and simplifying the drive-thru experience, the elevated drive-thru concept was initially proposed about thirteen months ago. Concurrently, the company revealed another design, catering exclusively to delivery and mobile pickup orders, which launched in Manhattan this past March.
Guided by the growing demand for digital modes of ordering, Chick-fil-A has designed these pioneering concepts with today’s fast-paced customer in mind.
With a rich history dating back to the 60s and its first-ever location in Atlanta, Chick-fil-A now boasts a robust presence of 3,000 outlets across the U.S. and Canada. Today’s innovation is just another chapter in the narrative of an iconic Southern chain’s continued commitment to customer service and culinary excellence.

If I buy “ready-to-eat” food, I only dine-in. If I go out to eat versus fixing it myself, I’m going to eat out, not bring it home to eat luke-warm or cold.

Food still isn’t cooked fresh. It’s cold and the chickens aren’t organic.
