Wyatt’s Take

  • Biden’s super-emitter program slapped billions in costs on American oil and gas workers
  • Trump’s EPA is cutting these job-killing rules to protect families in energy states
  • Lee Zeldin is putting American energy independence ahead of radical climate schemes

The Trump administration is moving fast to kill another Biden-era climate rule that has hammered American energy producers with massive costs.

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin announced Wednesday the agency will soon propose scrapping the Biden “super-emitter” program.

Federal officials say the program has buried oil and gas companies under billions in compliance expenses that ultimately hit working families at the pump and in their utility bills.

The rule forced companies to monitor and report methane leaks under strict new standards that critics call unworkable and expensive.

“This program represents a monumental threat to American energy production and the jobs that come with it,” Zeldin stated.

Energy workers in states like Texas, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania have watched their companies spend huge sums trying to meet the Biden mandates instead of drilling and producing.

The Trump team argues these regulations were never about real environmental protection but about punishing the fossil fuel industry that powers the economy.

American energy independence took a beating under Biden’s green agenda, with higher prices and less reliable supply hitting heartland communities hardest.

By rolling back the super-emitter rules, the EPA is signaling that energy policy will now focus on keeping costs down for American families rather than satisfying climate activists in Washington.

Wyatt Matters

Working families across the heartland need affordable energy to heat their homes, fuel their trucks, and keep factories running. When regulators pile on costs that get passed straight to consumers, it’s the same folks who get squeezed every month at the grocery store and the gas pump. Rolling back these rules puts American workers and their paychecks first.
