Elon Musk has made his first public comments about his brain implant company, Neuralink, since it received approval for its initial human trials from the Food and Drug Administration earlier this month.

Musk emphasized his long-term vision for Neuralink during a discussion with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., outlining the crucial role he believes the company will play in mitigating the potential risks posed by artificial intelligence (AI).

According to Musk, the primary aim of Neuralink is to establish a closer symbiosis between AI and humans, thereby reducing the threat posed by AI technology. He assured that the initial stages of the company’s development of brain-to-computer interfaces will proceed slowly, with the utmost care taken to ensure safety.

Despite acknowledging the existential risks associated with AI and brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, Musk expressed confidence that the pace of regulation and the stringent procedures enforced by the FDA will help mitigate these issues. He had earlier warned of the significant danger posed by AI in an interview with Tucker Carlson, even advocating for the establishment of a larger regulatory body to oversee AI development.

Musk also outlined Neuralink’s immediate goals. The company aims to use BCI technology to restore motor function in individuals who have suffered severe spine or brain injuries. Although Neuralink announced its FDA approval for human trials on Twitter last month, this discussion marked Musk’s first public acknowledgment of the milestone. As a private entity, Neuralink is not required to disclose information about its FDA approval process.

We must never let this happen in our country. Our government has never done anything that has turned out to be for the good. These implants may start out for a good use for our health, but we have so many corrupt people with billions of dollars who want to make us their slaves. It will be no different than Covid which has been used by our government to kill off old and/or weak people. This is population control.
