Jill Biden recently told CBS that while watching her husband’s debate against President Donald Trump, she was terrified he might be suffering a medical emergency. Her admission renewed questions about what Democrats knew about Joe Biden’s declining health and when they knew it.

Even when reporters pressed Brazile about the ongoing discussions within the Democratic Party about what went wrong in 2024 — particularly following calls for an internal review — she refused to engage. Instead, she spoke about herself in the third person and urged Democrats to ignore the past.

“Donna Brazile will not focus on the past,” she said. “Donna Brazile want to focus on the future.”

She argued Democrats already made their decision when Biden ended his reelection bid and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris. That sudden switch — orchestrated by party bosses after the debate disaster — left millions of primary voters feeling betrayed.

“We made that decision in 2024 when the then-president decided to step down and pass the torch to Kamala,” Brazile said.

Brazile, a longtime Democratic strategist who served as interim DNC chair in 2011 and again in 2016, has remained an influential voice within the party. But her refusal to address legitimate concerns about Biden’s health and the party’s handling of it shows just how desperate Democrats are to avoid accountability.
