Wyatt’s Take

  • A Department of Justice worker lost his job after attacking federal agents with a sandwich.
  • The Justice Department is pushing back against disrespect toward law enforcement.
  • Federal officials say they are serious about holding their own accountable.

A Department of Justice employee was fired after he allegedly called federal agents “fascists” and threw his sandwich at them in Washington, D.C. The man, Sean Charles Dunn, 37, now faces a felony assault charge for the incident.

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed Dunn’s firing and charges.

“If you touch any law enforcement officer, we will come after you. I just learned that this defendant worked at the Department of Justice — NO LONGER. Not only is he FIRED, he has been charged with a felony,” Bondi posted on X.

Bondi said disrespecting the police and government will not be tolerated by the current administration.

“This is an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months as we work to refocus DOJ. You will NOT work in this administration while disrespecting our government and law enforcement.”

D.C. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro brought the charges, indicating that law enforcement won’t look the other way.

“Assault a law enforcement officer, and you’ll be prosecuted. This guy thought it was funny—well, he doesn’t think it’s funny today, because we charged him with a felony,” Pirro said.

This sends a message that no one is above the law and disrespect for those who serve won’t be tolerated. Ordinary Americans know that rules should apply to everyone, even those working high up in government. Let’s hope Washington starts listening and puts the people’s values first.
