January 1, Democrats Push False ICE Child Zip-Tie Story

At a Senate hearing, Senator Dick Durbin told a story about ICE agents zip-tying kids during a late-night raid in Chicago.

He said,

“federal agents… zip-tied children and others, and detained immigrants and U.S. citizens alike for hours in vans.”

Governor J.B. Pritzker has also been repeating this claim in his public remarks.

But Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin from the Department of Homeland Security posted online that

“children were never zip-tied.”

She labeled the story

“a shameful and disgusting lie.”

The woman claiming she heard agents say

“F them kids.”

She gave a blurry account of kids supposedly being zip-tied together. Even her description was muddled.

When the hoax started, folks pointed to a viral photo as evidence. That photo turned out to be a dad joking with his own child, not ICE abusing anyone.

As usual, Democrat politicians and media run on emotion, using loaded words like “children” to stir folks up, when some of those so-called kids could be nearly grown.

Durbin never grilled the Attorney General in the hearing about these charges. He just spoke the lie into the record to gain headlines and scare people about border agents.

No wonder Americans don’t trust Washington’s stories about law enforcement anymore.
