Wyatt’s Take

  • MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace denied Democrats called Trump “Hitler.”
  • Multiple prominent Democrats and media figures have made direct Trump-Nazi comparisons.
  • This language is used to justify resistance and stir up fear among Americans.

Nicolle Wallace claimed on live TV that no Democrat has ever suggested President Trump is like Hitler. Historical records prove otherwise, with multiple Democrats drawing direct comparisons between Trump and Nazi Germany.

During an interview, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker accused Trump of copying “authoritarian” playbooks. Wallace insisted this wasn’t “partisan,” while referencing J.D. Vance’s old remarks. Pritzker himself said, “I’m not suggesting, I haven’t suggested that Donald Trump is Hitler,” prompting Wallace to add, “I don’t think any democrat has.”

However, many Democrat leaders have compared Trump to Hitler. Hillary Clinton once said, “Hitler was duly elected, right?” and likened Trump rallies to Nazi gatherings. Tim Walz, Beto O’Rourke, Dan Goldman, Nancy Pelosi, and James Clyburn have also made similar analogies. When questioned if Trump is another Hitler, Clyburn replied, “That’s exactly what I’m saying, I said the 1930’s in Germany.”

Wallace herself compared Trump to Hitler in 2018, saying, “I watch enough History Channel to know that they cheered at Hitler, too.” Other media figures on her network have echoed these attacks, using Nazi-era video and accusing Trump of echoing the “Nazi playbook.”

The goal of this language is to dehumanize Trump and inflame Americans. It conditions the public to resist, painting Trump as a dire threat to freedom and democracy.

This isn’t about civil disagreement. It’s an organized effort to demonize anyone who challenges leftist power and values—and it puts our country at risk of more division and violence.

Honest debate should never stoop to name-calling or stoking fear. Middle Americans deserve leaders who address real issues—jobs, safety, faith—and not those who tear this country apart with reckless rhetoric.
