CAIR California is under multiple investigations for raking in millions from government grants over the past few years.

Watchdog groups claim the true amount far surpasses what CAIR admitted, fuelling concerns over financial transparency and other ties.

The Muslim civil rights group logged $7 million in government grants according to tax filings, but a recent study argued the total could be more than triple that amount, with much of the cash hidden under

“contributions and grants.”

The Intelligent Advocacy Network accused CAIR of failing to properly report grant money and filed complaints with both federal and state officials.

The Justice Department is now looking into whether the group should keep receiving taxpayer-funded immigration aid.

California’s political practices watchdog has also started an inquiry.

CAIR California responded by calling the claims

“a larger defamation campaign targeting American Muslims by fringe anti-Muslim groups.”

The organization’s leaders have denied all allegations, stressing rigorous audit standards and full transparency, but didn’t directly answer to the new findings.

The controversy extends to the group’s public stances.

One leader has refused to clearly condemn Hamas, calling tough questions

“bigotry” and “racism.”

Another praised Hamas actions on social media, sparking further outrage.

Past federal court records linked CAIR to a 2007 case involving support for Hamas, yet the organization has always denied this.

The story is developing, and both working folks and taxpayers have every right to demand accountability from groups receiving public funds.
