January 1, Billionaire ‘Shark Tank’ Star Targets TikTok Amidst Rising Tensions
Kevin O’Leary, the billionaire co-host of Shark Tank, has recently voiced his interest in acquiring the popular social media platform, TikTok. This move comes amidst the growing concerns of the U.S. government regarding the platform’s links to China.
O’Leary, a self-made billionaire, has openly expressed his distrust of the Chinese government. He even went as far as to demonstrate his caution by revealing that he uses two separate phones. One of these phones, devoid of any personal data, is exclusively used for TikTok.
“I do not trust the Chinese government,” O’Leary stated.
His interest in purchasing TikTok seems to be driven by a desire to transform it into an ‘American company’. This would, in theory, alleviate the concerns of the U.S. government and its citizens about the potential misuse of their data by foreign entities.
O’Leary’s proposal comes at a time when Congress is considering a bill that could have significant implications for TikTok. The details of the bill are yet to be disclosed, but it could potentially lead to major changes in the way the platform operates.
“If Congress moves forward with a bill,” O’Leary said, indicating his readiness to step in if the situation calls for it.
The billionaire’s interest in TikTok is a clear indication of his belief in the platform’s potential. Despite the controversy surrounding it, TikTok continues to be a major player in the social media landscape, with millions of users worldwide.
O’Leary’s potential acquisition could mark a significant shift in the platform’s future, possibly leading to increased trust and security for its American users. However, it remains to be seen whether his plans will come to fruition, and how they will be received by the TikTok community and the wider public.

I agree. Apparentaly Mr. O’Leary is doing something right. He is another Donald Trump, tell the left to “go to hell and do what I think will be good for the American People and America.”

I have avoided being a user of Tik Tok. IF O’Leary purchased it, I–and I think many others–would join the TikTok platform.
