January 1, Biden Chooses CNN for Debate, Trump Responds with Surprising Demand

President Joe Biden has expressed his preference for CNN to host at least one presidential debate. It was revealed that CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will be hosting the debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump on June 27th.

CNN has been Biden’s preferred network despite its sinking ratings and reputation for pushing hoaxes.

The Biden campaign announced that the president would only debate Trump in June and September, without any live audiences present. Biden took to social media to accept the invitation from CNN, tweeting, “I’ve received and accepted an invitation for a debate on June 27th. Over to you, Donald. As you said: anywhere, any time, any place.”

Trump accepted Biden’s invitation and encouraged the president to debate him earlier and more frequently. In a statement, Trump said, “I’m ready to go…The dates that they proposed are fine…Let’s see if Joe can make it to the stand-up podium. The proposed June and early September dates are fully acceptable to me. I will provide my own transportation.”

Additionally, Trump mentioned that he would like to debate Biden in October on another major news network.
