Wyatt’s Take
- JPMorgan workers want out of New York.
- Banks eye moves to Texas and Florida.
- Big-city politics push families to find safer ground.
JPMorgan employees in New York are scrambling to get transfers to offices in Texas and Florida.
Many are unhappy and urgently reaching out to management for chances to leave the city.

“I know that there are people at JPMorgan who have told me…all of JPMorgan is basically scrambling maniacally emailing HR and emailing management at the bank to see if they can work out of the Texas offices, out of the Florida offices. They are scrambling to leave.”
Bankers are making moves because they no longer feel safe or supported in New York.
This wave of departures seems tied to local government decisions that do not reflect the values or priorities of everyday workers and families.
