January 1, 13-Year-Old Girl Leads Police on High-Speed Chase
A 13-year-old girl led state troopers on a high-speed chase, exceeding 100 mph, with an 11-year-old boy in the passenger seat, the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) said.
“At approximately 9:35 p.m., a trooper observed an eastbound Nissan Pathfinder traveling on Interstate 80 at approximately 35 miles per hour. The trooper attempted a traffic stop near Kearney, at mile marker 276, but the vehicle accelerated and fled at a high rate of speed. The trooper initiated a pursuit,” according to a NSP news release.
“The vehicle reached speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour as it fled eastbound on I-80. Another trooper was able to successfully deploy stop sticks at mile marker 288 to slow the vehicle. The suspect vehicle then exited I-80 at the Shelton interchange and began traveling northbound at slower speeds.”
Not long after, the trooper successfully performed “a tactical vehicle intervention to bring the vehicle to a stop.”
The 13-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy were both “placed in protective custody” without further incident, authorities said. While questioning the pair, investigators learned that they’re both from Colorado. How they came to be in Nebraska with a vehicle in their possession is unclear.
NSP troopers found a firearm, a “small amount” of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the SUV, authorities said.
The 13-year-old driver was cited for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous traffic violations, NBC News reported. The 10-year-old passenger was cited for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nowadays, to many kids think real life is a game, like Grand Theft Auto. This case probably reflects a very bad home environment. If the kids were from Colorado, they probably got the MJ from their parents.

What is up with kids today, I can tell you that the indoctrination starts at school,, the Government thinks they own our children and the bad parents of the country are just handing them over. Don’t let the goverment take our children and parents that don’t want to parent their kids shouldn’t have them in the first place!

It is not the government. It is YOU the parents too lazy and too busy to teach the children right or wrong and hand them to incompetent school teachers. The 7 years from home go long way and last a lifetime.

Seems like if the children were white the article would have said so. If the parents had been republicans, it would have said so.
Seems like this in the newspaper and on left wing television. The parents need to be in jail.
