Los Angeles crime is on the rise, and Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn has experienced it firsthand. During a recent appearance on a SiriusXM podcast, Hawn revealed that her own home has been burglarized twice in just four months.

The 78-year-old shared her thoughts about leaving LA, stating, “What if we couldn’t live in L.A, where would we live? We both decided, I think it’s Palm Desert (California). … It’s so safe.” Hawn referred to her longtime boyfriend, Kurt Russell, as they have been together for four decades.

Hawn didn’t hold back on her feelings about LA, saying, “It’s just because L.A. is terrible. I mean, we were robbed once.” She then went on to describe the first burglary incident, which occurred while she and Russell were out for just two hours.

Upon returning to their home, Hawn recalled, “I went up to the stairs and I walked into my closet. I just lost it.” The intruders had entered through the balcony and into their bedroom, where they ransacked their closets. “They completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they’re very, very sophisticated, and they got a lot of my goodies, if you know what I mean.”

The Academy Award-winning actress thought this would be a one-time occurrence, but she was wrong. Four months later, Hawn was home alone with her dog when she heard a loud noise upstairs. “I hear this big thump upstairs — and I was alone; Kurt wasn’t there — and I went, ‘What the hell was that?’” The next day, they discovered that someone tried to break into her bedroom while she was inside the house.

Hawn expressed her disbelief at the situation, saying, “I couldn’t believe it. What is happening here?” Since these incidents, she has had additional protection, including a personal guard. “I’ve had a guard, especially when I’m alone now,” Hawn said. “I’m never without a guard. We have a nice relationship with our guard.”

Goldie…. get the hell out of California, your are 78 and need serenity in your life. Move next door to Mike Love and have some zen moments at beautiful Lake Tahoe… ON THE NEVADA side of the lake. Bonus, no state income tax either.
