January 1, Trump Receives Honorary Black Belt in Taekwondo
Former President Donald Trump recently received an honorary ninth dan black belt in taekwondo.
The president of Kukkiwon, the world taekwondo headquarters, Lee Dong Seop, presented Trump with the honor at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla.
“It is my honor to receive the honorary dan certificate and I think Taekwondo is a magnificent martial art for self-defense,” Trump said.
According to the New York Post, Russian president Vladimir Putin also received an honorary ninth dan belt when visiting South Korea in 2013.
