January 1, Trump Was Right: Media Elites Already Plotting to Undermine MAGA in 2028

Three big-name White House reporters spent time talking about which Republicans might run for president in 2028. Their list left out the names that matter most to everyday Americans who voted for Donald Trump.

They floated ideas about who could take over after President Trump finishes his term. The names they mentioned show how far removed these reporters are from real working-class voters across the heartland.

“I think there are four lanes to the Republican Party,” one reporter explained during the panel. “I think one lane is the Trump successor, the sort of like, from the inside of the White House, who’s the person who gets blessed… Presumably, that’s JD Vance. Unless JD Vance decides, for whatever reason, [he] doesn’t want it, or is somehow disqualified, then maybe it’s Marco Rubio.”

They also pushed the idea of candidates who spent years fighting against Trump. “Then I think there’s the ‘I tried to help you, but you didn’t listen lane’, which is like Ted Cruz, somebody who’s going to spend the next two years making Trump’s closest ally, fight real hard, but then when it comes around saying, you know, it didn’t work, [Trump’s] approval rate is 25%, here’s what I told him to dude, he didn’t listen,” the reporter continued. “Then I’d think there is this explicitly anti-Trump lane, which is somebody like if Chris Christie… maybe it’s [outgoing Nebraska Congressman] Don Bacon or somebody like that.”

The reporters even suggested Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could run as a surprise pick. That idea got groans from the mostly liberal crowd watching the discussion.

Another reporter added former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard to the list of possible contenders. These names show how some in the media want to move the party away from the America First voters who built the MAGA movement.

“He is still enormously popular among the MAGA crowd,” one panelist said about Donald Trump Jr. “He has a very different relationship, actually, than his dad does.”

“He speaks the language of conservatives more,” another reporter added about the president’s son. These comments reveal that even the media knows Trump Jr. connects with real conservatives in ways the establishment never will.

The discussion came while reporters also mentioned other cabinet members who might run, including Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Working Americans know these games and will keep supporting leaders who put America first.
