January 1, Democrat Candidate Equates Oklahoma Sharia Ban With Trail of Tears

A resurfaced video shows Michigan Democrat Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed linking Oklahoma’s effort to ban Sharia law to the forced removal of Native Americans, the destruction of Black Wall Street, and the Oklahoma City bombing during a 2022 speech at a Council on American-Islamic Relations event.
The comments came at a CAIR gathering where El-Sayed spoke about state lawmakers passing measures to stop foreign religious law from creeping into Oklahoma courts.
“They tried to do this in Oklahoma,” El-Sayed said in the clip. “They compared Sharia to the Trail of Tears, to Black Wall Street, to the Oklahoma City bombing.”
Critics say the comparison cheapens actual tragedies and ignores why states passed the bans in the first place.
Oklahoma voters approved a constitutional amendment in 2010 that bars courts from considering international or religious law when deciding cases.
Supporters argue the measure simply protects the U.S. Constitution and keeps judges from enforcing rules that treat women and non-Muslims as second-class citizens.
El-Sayed’s remarks have reignited debate over whether Democrats are willing to defend American legal traditions or prefer to import parallel systems that clash with them.

Oysio. I am a registered Cherokee tribal member. I find what he said abhorrent. My great grandfather George Buckskin Waters lost his parents on the trail of tears and was orphaned at the age of eight. This statement by an ignorant man, should tell you all you need to know about his lack of character. What an insult to every Cherokee living or dead.

I will agree on his lack of character and the inability to think on his feet,but he has said many concerning things that make the guy a tremendous liability for Michigan, hopefully they will wake up. This statement using the Trail of Tears in any comparison to his sharia filth should disqualify him from any office in America!!

Someone needs to ask him if he adheres completely to the Quran! If he does, ask him his thoughts on infidels and lying to advance Islam! If people in this country do not wake up, they will be eventually living under Sharia Law! It take some time, but he and others like him appear to be working to advance that as fast as possible!
