If not mistaken, after Biden did it, there was a lot of push back by the Trump administration about what a poor decision it was. And it was a poor decision, as it seriously depleted our strategic supply, and Biden couldn’t refill it because the price of crude had skyrocketed.

Had a fellow from oil industry join the electrical industry I was in and he told me that one of the best kept secrets is that we were sitting on enough oil that we would never run out of it in the US.
Yes release some of those reserves. This is really difficult for the working person. While we do not want a nuclear bomb in Iran either and appreciate the efforts if there’s a way to ease the pain here that would be good.
