Federal agents faced gunfire and attacks during immigration operations in Chicago. The shooter and others at the scene targeted Border Patrol vehicles before escaping.
Today, U.S. Border Patrol was conducting immigration enforcement operations near 26th Street and Kedzie Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, when an unknown male driving a black Jeep fired shots at agents and fled the scene. An unknown number of agitators also threw a paint can and…

Chicago Police helped clear things out, but the shooter and vehicle are still missing. Homeland Security says violence and attacks against law enforcement are becoming more frequent.
The agency called for an end to this uptick in aggression, warning that these attacks put agents and communities in danger.

Laws must mean something, or no one stays safe. When agents doing their jobs get shot at, everyday Americans lose faith that things are under control. If violence against law enforcement keeps growing, it puts Main Street folks at risk and makes every community feel less secure.
