January 1, Uncovering News Outlets Tied To Funding Trump Impeachment Are Exposed

A cool website called Drop Site News told us that since 2013, more than half of OCCRP’s money is from our government, and they’ve given them at least $47 million since 2008! That’s a lot!

Some people on the board of this group say it’s okay to take the money because they can do more with it. But there are others, even some famous news folks, who feel a bit funny about it. They think maybe the government shouldn’t be the one giving them money because it might make it hard for OCCRP to tell the truth all the time.

You know who else gives them money? The Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the Open Society Foundation, which is supported by George Soros — someone we’ve talked about before.

Just think, if you get money from someone, would you feel okay if they told you what to do with it? Some folks think that could make it hard for OCCRP to be honest in their stories.
