January 1, Supreme Court Backs Arizona GOP’s Push for Voter Citizenship Proof
In a landmark decision made on Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled in a balanced 5-4 verdict, partially backing Republicans who are fighting to enforce proof of citizenship at the voting booth in Arizona.
The high court was tasked with deciding whether or not to back sections of Arizona law that necessitate documented proof of citizenship, including absentee voting, to participate in presidential elections.
The GOP in Arizona announced on August 15th that an emergency application was filed pending an appeal from the U.S. Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit. The application supports HB 2492, a law that insists on proof of citizenship to cast votes in presidential elections.
The law was initially blocked by a federal judge, spurring the appeal to the Supreme Court for momentary respite.
“The Constitution provides states with the authority to establish voter requirements, and Arizona is spearheading the movement to safeguard our elections, allowing ONLY CITIZENS to vote,” the Arizona GOP aired via Twitter. The case stands the chance to stop non-citizen voting entirely, which the GOP maintains, should have been the norm from the beginning.
The emergency application for stay filed by the Republican National Committee maintains that ensuring voter integrity is a paramount issue that, until now, has been overlooked. This concern is heightened due to the number of “illegal aliens” currently residing in the country.
When the time came for the verdict, justices Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch were all for granting the application in its entirety. On the other hand, justices Sotomayor, Kagan, Barrett, and Jackson were against granting the application at all.
Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Kavanaugh provided a compromise with their casting votes, leading to the partial victory.
The 2022 state law in limbo, which mandates proof of citizenship, was opposed by civil rights groups and the Arizona Democratic Party.
A Supreme Court ruling from 2013 set a precedent limiting when states could enforce these types of restrictions for federal elections. However, this recent case could potentially redefine the landscape of voting requirements, reflecting the importance of ensuring that only legal citizens can vote in our elections.

YES, MOST DEFINITLY. I FOUGHT IN THREE WARS TO HELP PRESERVE THE CONSTITUTION, AND PROTECT THIS NATION AGAINST ILLEGALS. IF I CAN PROVE CITIZENSHIP AND PROUDLY, THEN BY GOD SO CAN EVERY VOTER.

Last time I read the United States of America’s Constitution the word ” Citizen ” appeared all over it. Not once did I see the words, ” Illegal Aliens, Migrants or Law Breakers!!” Illegal Aliens are not Migrants to begin with. A Migrant used to enter this country to help plant crops and return to their home countries until it was time to Harvest those same crops. Illegals is what they are and by entering this Country Illegally they have in Fact broken a few laws some of which on their own are Felony Offenses which would immediately keep a Citizen of this country from voting. The only thing a Illegal Alien should receive is a late night visit from ICE and a 1 way ticket back to the country they were born in. Illegals should not be receiving Free anything because they have not paid a penny into our Government. While it might sound mean they should receive NOTHING AND LIKE IT. No more Biden or Harris bucks, no more living for free in Sanctuary Cities in the very best hotels those cities have to offer. No more 3500 to 5500 a month per Illegal. No this Stupidity has to end. You want a Sanctuary City or State Fine the second you declare you will harbor Illegals you immediately loose your ability to receive Federal Aid should a Natural Disaster happen. You immediately loose Federal money for such things as Welfare, Hospitals, Schools, Police and Fire and everything else those Federal Dollars would help subsidize. Once the Legal Citizens of your City’s and States realize that the Federal Dollars are no longer coming I’ll bet those Sanctuary Cities and States immediately start not only allowing ICE in to remove those Criminal Illegal Aliens they will probably roll their own sleeves up and pitch in to help remove them. What’s actually happening at our Border is a well designed Hostel Take Over. South America has few Illegals crosing these last few months. Now it’s the Chinese who make up almost half and if you are paying attention to who it is Illegally Crossing its Males of Military Age. Yes folks we are being set up to be invaded. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles can see it but Dementia Joe and Cackling Harris think it’s a grand idea.

It is astounding that anyone who considers themselves as a patriot would favor non-citizens including those who entered our country illegally eligible to vote. The Democrat party moto is lie, cheat, steal. This needs to stop. The constitution requires citizenship to vote.

Why do the democrats keep pushing for there to be no voting restrictions anywhere? They are the ones that don’t seem to have a problem with open borders and just allowing anyone to come into this country any time they want. What are they trying to do, destroy our country so they can rebuild it in the manner they want it to be? God help us if they win control of the house and senate along with the presidency in November because it could very well lead to a second revolution. Millions of people are fed up with the dems actions and are ready to do something about it.

Our Constitution clearly states citizenship is required. We have to show identity to conduct business or do anything in this country. Voting should be no exception to the rules.
