January 1, ESPN Terminates Sam Ponder for Criticizing Inclusion of Biological Males in Women’s Sports

Published

on

ESPN host Sam Ponder has been shown the door by the unabashedly liberal sports media giant ESPN. Her supposed crime? Speaking out against the blatant injustice of biological males competing in women’s sports.

ESPN, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, insists that Ponder was let go, alongside Robert Griffin III, due to “financial reasons”. This spin is hardly plausible in the face of mounting evidence from the online community, where Ponder’s abrupt termination sparked numerous discussions.

Among the voices, observers saw a clear pattern: Ponder was the only woman bravely taking a stand against a pressing gender issue within the sphere of sports. The correlation between Ponder’s outspokenness and her termination was hard to ignore, especially considering a similar situation involving former ESPN anchor Sage Steele, who was dismissed after articulating conservative-leaning viewpoints.

Riley Gaines, a first-rate Division 1 swimmer who narrowly missed an NCAA award, thanks to competing against trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas, commented on the issue, noting the suspicious timing of Ponder’s firing just ahead of the football season. The trend was hard to ignore.

Most notably, Ponder praised Italian boxer Angela Carini who defiantly refused to engage with the press following her harsh Olympic bout with Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who had previously failed a gender test. Carini ended the fight tragically short of its scheduled duration, a stand that Ponder vociferously lauded.

In more instances than one, Ponder took to social media to express her principles. “Biology is not bigotry. Loving people does not require the absence of boundaries,” she declared. Her posts evidently rang true for many, as she received numerous messages of support and gratitude. Even while anticipating potential backlash from her employer, Ponder bravely asserted, “It is not hateful to demand fairness in sports for girls.”

Ponder’s conservative leaning was not just apparent in her posts on gender issues in sports. She also defended Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker for his recent commencement speech at Benedictine College, where he praised his wife and other homemakers. Moreover, the sportscaster demonstrated her patriotism when she expressed concern for former President Donald Trump after a failed assassination attempt.

The unceremonious firing of the outspoken host has further illuminated the ESPN and its parent company’s left-leaning bias. One thing is clear: ESPN seems to champion diversity, as long as it toes the liberal line.

Hate to see Ponder go from ESPN as well as RGIII who has always been a class act. I’m going to cut back on my ESPN viewing because of such poor corporate judgment.

Men do not belong in women’s sports….
If you can’t win against other men you shouldn’t
be allowed to bully up on women… Sick people!

It sad that we don’t tolerate fair play in sports when it concerns switching genders. The left wants what the
Left wants. Yet they tolerate absolute stupidity when it comes to their political party. ESPN though really
disappoints me. Instead of supporting sports, they’ve now decided that they are the speakers for all sports in
our country and that censorship is totally fine as long as it’s done their way and to hell if anyone stands in
their way. Looks like Socialism is beginning to take root in America.

Well, I like to use the statement “You can’t fix stupid”! (Referring to ESPN/Disney management (?))

I applaud her for standing up for simple biology, and for making her statements, even though her previous management can’t fix stupid.
    I have 4 daughters, 6 granddaughters, and 7 great-grandaughters. Also 1 son, 10 grandsons, and 6 great-grandsons.
At least I know and they know what they are.

ESPN? The sports channel with pussys men who don’t know what a real woman is. They back fake women so I guess they are all gay. Go tell that to the black American women who won gold medals at the Olympics. These real women probably could kick your weak butts. It is sickening that ESPN doesn’t back real women sports. Probably payoff by biden, Soros or some rich elites who can’t decide if they are gay or straight. I hope parents are not allowing their children to watch this clown show.

Is ESPN still relevant? Did ESPN oppose the desecration of the National Anthem by the NFL? Yes, I know the NFL has publically turned away from the desecration of the National Anthem, but have they really, or are they simply trying to capture lost viewers? Then, there is the monetization of the NCAA Football, sub-professionals if you will. In short, everything ESPN and Goodell touches turns to crap. Then they turn back in hope of recovering sane sportsmen viewership which buys insanely profitable commercials. Will ESPN, Goodell, and the NCAA eventually turn back to amateur athleticism devoid of the deranged ‘woke’ crowd?

HOW LONG would ESPN or Disney last if Americans—specifically American CONSERVATIVES, BOYDCOTTED them and their sponsors?? I made a personal decision over 10 years ago to ‘remove’ them from my viewing habits. But I’m shocked at how many Conservatives & Christians continue to watch them ‘religiously’? There’s always wickedness and evil in the world. Those of us with a little moral ‘light’ have the means to make a difference. Ponder made a difference. NOW if we could multiply that by 100 million (one individual at a time)…. this LEFTIST-CULTURAL-MARXIST DESTRUCTIVE-TO-LIBERTY-AND-GOODNESS would STOP in a New-York-minute! But I don’t think Conservative Christians & Republicans have the MORAL-COURAGE to change their viewing habits?

You know, this is the typical trend from people who cannot tell the difference between a man or woman. God created two sexes, male and female, in the animal world, and the human world. The animals know the difference–i find it hard not to understand why both male and female in the human arena do not understand this!

ESPN has become another liberal media piece of crap. instead of reporting on sports and allowing their reporters and and To report the Sports news and give their opinions the company has decided that all opinions are welcome as long as they tell the liberal agenda.
Boys are boys girls are girls and they should not meet in competition.

I want to stop watching anything on those channels, but I like sports too much. I was afraid that the left and the woke crowd would inflitrate the ESPN’s and now here is another example of it.

Ms. Ponder’s termination is simply a shameful and stupid act. Men competing against women is totally unacceptable and ridiculous. Not to mention dangerous, as evidenced by the boxing match during the olympics. My thoughts are always what pride can these men have in any kind of award they get. I mean they certainly didn’t earn it. They stole it!
