January 1, Tyson Foods Closure Devastates Iowa, Corporate Exodus Sparks Economic Crisis

Published

on

In a major blow to the town, the most prominent employer, Tyson Foods, in Perry, Iowa has ceased operations due to outdated infrastructure, taking a significant toll on the local economy, as per reports on TV network CBS.

Tyson’s business was a lifeline for nearly one-quarter of Perry’s employable population before its winding up, as per local government records. Factoring in the relatives of the factory workers as well as the businesses directly dependent on the plant, it is estimated that up to 60% of the town’s residents have been affected by the closure.

As a result of the closure, around two hundred employees have been transferred to the company’s facilities across different states in Iowa.

Earlier in the year, in April, Quaker Oats announced the closure of its factory in Danville, Illinois, causing nearly 500 workers to lose their livelihoods. The facility, which had been operational since 1969, was shut down after the company decided to consolidate the manufacturing of granola bars in a more modern factory, following a product recall in December.

In a similar vein, Tupperware, a household name in the U.S., shuttered its final US-based factory in June as part of its plans to relocate production to Mexico. The company cited the advantage of lower wages in its new location as it grappled with financial difficulties.

It’s worth bringing to light here that Vice President Kamala Harris boasted in July about her and President Joe Biden’s administration creating 800,000 manufacturing jobs. She even took a shot at the Trump administration, claiming it saw the loss of tens of thousands of such jobs. However, Breitbart News, a noted news outlet, dubbed Harris’ statement as misleading.

Breitbart News argues that it’s unfair to pin the blame on the former President for job losses resulting from the global pandemic crisis.

Another critical fact that should not be glanced over is the recent Bureau of Labor Statistics report. The statistics have brought to light that under the Biden-Harris administration, the benefits of the U. S. economy have been disportionately accruing to foreign-born workers, leaving American citizens in the dust.

The data reveals that in July, the U.S. saw a decrease of 1.2 million American job holders compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the number of foreign-born job holders recorded an increase of 1.3 million. These figures strongly suggest that newcomers are the primary beneficiaries of the job growth under the Biden-Harris economy.

this is just the beginning it going to get worse. Just to note that there companies closed because of out dated equipment. What a chock. Who’s fault is that. If the companied had been updating equipment (of which is tax deductible). Those companies would have been more profitable. This nation has been carved up one companies at a time by the globalists. Keep this story in mind the next time you go to the store. We have stopped buying any Tyson products and now will add Quaker Oats to that long list. Why would I support companies who don’t support the country & workers who made them.

I’m pretty sure most of those new jobs are on the low end of the pay scale and foreigners are more willing to take them and the companies are more than willing to take the incentives for hiring them.

It appears that you are indirectly blaming the Biden/Harris administration for this failure.

These concerns do not develop overnight and if there is to be blame, look at the corporate leadership, the tattered facility, the inordinate charges for their product, the outlandish pay for senior-level execs, and many other factors affecting the economy.

Your article seems to place the blame on the entry of immigrants. A careful and thorough review of the facts would probably indicate otherwise.

      BIDEN and HARRIS !
Neither one of the two has half a brain cell in their head both are totally worthless !

Not Indirectly; But DIRECTLY. Overnight is not the cause of failure… 3 1/2 years is. THEY are RESPONSABLE.

Facts are facts. Americans lost 1.2 Million jobs while foreign-born persons increased jobs to the tune of 1.3 Million. Likely illegal immigrants. Who let in MILLIONS of illegals border crossers? Biden and Border Czar Harris.

A careful review of the facts by you would appear to be in order.

Sad that Tyson corporation did not want to hear the pleas of residents to keep their jobs and rehab the plant. They will spend more to build a plant elsewhere and go with no bad feelings about these former employees. It has been in the works for some time! SAD!

Yet Kamala and Joe brag about increases in economy. They fail to point out exactly where this is and how it happened on their watch. All we get from the Democrat administration is a bunch of lies to boost their preference come election in November. I hope the American people wake up to this misinformation received from a bunch of lying crooks.
