January 1, BREAKING: Biden Drops Out of 2024 Race

President Biden shocked the nation on Sunday by announcing he will suspend his 2024 re-election campaign. His decision comes after mounting pressure from Democratic colleagues, top donors, and Hollywood stars following a disastrous debate performance last month.

“The greatest honor of my life” Biden stated. “While it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interests of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term.”

This unprecedented announcement follows an increasing number of Democrat lawmakers calling for Biden to step aside. Party leadership reportedly attempted to convince the 81-year-old president he could not win against former President Trump in November’s general election.

Biden expressed gratitude to his supporters. “I want to thank Vice President Kamala Harris for being an extraordinary partner in all this work. And let me express my heartfelt appreciation to the American people for the faith and trust you have placed in me.”

Despite being diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday, Biden insisted in multiple TV interviews and campaign appearances that he would remain in the race. However, these interviews only fueled concerns that he was no longer up to the job.

Biden’s gaffes on the world stage, including referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as “Putin,” further amplified the scrutiny surrounding his campaign. Calls for Biden to withdraw from the race surged following his botched debate performance against Trump in Atlanta.

While Biden initially vowed to continue campaigning, polls indicated his standing against Trump was slipping as concerns over his age surged. This announcement brings an end to Biden’s 2024 campaign and seemingly concludes his long career in national politics.

Biden’s decision to suspend his campaign has left the Democratic party scrambling to find a new candidate to carry the torch in the upcoming election.

His resignation is 3.5 years overdue, he should have quit on day one in 2021.

I am very disappointed that so many turned against Joe and basically forced him out of the race. All of you are acting as if he had really failed in the debate against the moron tRump when Joe only slipped up on a couple of words.

Am I the only one who remembers paying less for groceries and gas during Trump’s term? How about accomplishments like the Abraham Accords, reaching out to North Korea (probably shot down by Russia), making the covid vaccine immediately available, etc.? Energy independence? A secure Southern border?
