January 1, Gate Crash Alert: Air Force Police Fire at Speeding Intruder

Published

on

Drama unfolded as Air Force police discharged several rounds Tuesday, targeting a vehicle that brazenly breached the primary entrance of a prominent Texas base.

A rogue driver, identity still cloaked in mystery, recklessly sped “at a high rate of speed in the wrong direction of traffic” towards vigilant Air Force guards stationed at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis.

The audacious move saw the vehicle glide past the security checkpoint, infiltrating the base for a tense few minutes, only to blaze back through the exit gate, as reported by Military.com.

Describing the harrowing chase, Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis spokesperson Angela Casarez revealed, “Security forces pursued the driver and took defensive measures when the suspected gate runner attempted to exit the installation via the inbound lane traveling at an excessive rate of speed,” as cited by Military Times.

The driver’s evasive actions, however, did not grant him access to any of the specialized training zones sprawled across the massive 27,000-acre installation.

And in what seems like a stroke of fortune, the perpetrator emerged unscathed from the guards’ barrage.

In a twist to the tale, San Antonio Police subsequently nabbed the suspect a considerable nine miles away from the scene, post his involvement in an unrelated fray.

Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, serving as the critical training hub for the Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps combat troops, forms a part of the larger Joint Base San Antonio conglomerate. This includes Randolph Air Force Base, Lackland Air Force Base, and Fort Sam Houston.

Notably, Fort Sam Houston was compelled to shutter another entry point and enforce a lockdown on several structures, almost simultaneously with the Camp Bullis intrusion. This decision came in the wake of gunshots echoing from a neighboring forested vicinity.

Whether these two unsettling episodes intertwine remains an enigma, though normalcy was restored a few hours post the incidents, as confirmed by the reports.

Miraculously, no military members bore the brunt of these skirmishes.

In an interaction with Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for Joint Base San Antonio vouched that their Air Force Security Forces “fired several shots in self-defense” against the intruder.

However, they emphasized, “no injuries to Air Force personnel, the subject, or damage to Air Force property was reported in relation to this incident.”

The entire fiasco is still under the investigative lens.

Terrorists are testing the defenses. They’ll try it again, except next time won’t be a test run.

I agree, I thought that was pretty obvious, but the author of this article didn’t appear to get that

Now, I think we all know that they will find him, if they haven’t already, or, he will simply move away………?

All also need to consider that this incident was reported by the biased Hamas terrorist supporting AP News who is famous for fake news.
If true, then it appears that this was likly a probe and more than likely more will come later. This is what happens when the American military has been turned into a woke joke groupy of sissies who don’t know if they are men or women by the moronic dilitants and traitors in the DOD and the White House such as Biden, Austin, Milley, Blinken and Obama.

Well, your group of “woke joke groupy (sic) of sissies who don’t know if they are men or women by the moronic dilitants (sic) and traitors in the DOD and the White House such as Biden, Austin, Milley, Blinken and Obama,” FIRED upon the driver, although they didn’t stop him unfortunately.

Could it be that the “sissy” 9mm and 5.56 rounds not going through windshields or engine blocks? 🤦🙄

Sure, blame the DOD and Biden administration for what you perceive as “a woke joke groupy (sic) of sissies” in the American military. Maybe if uncaring Republican’t, Tommy Tuberville didn’t single-handedly hold up promotions to our ENTIRE military forces for 9 months, we would have a military more to your liking. We have some brave and fine men & women serving our country and you sound like tRUMP who called them “fools”.

A similar incident happened a number of years ago at Offutt AFB (Strategic Command World HQ) near Omaha, NE. It turned out to be a criminal pursuit where the individual drove on base fleeing police. After driving completely across the base, also passing near the highly sensitive underground command center, he was fatally shot by base Security. The Air Force took a lot of criticism for not being able to physically stop the vehicle BEFORE it entered base property in light of the highly sensitive mission of Strategic Command. What if that had been an enemy agent (China, Russia, Iran) or terrorist armed with a vehicle-borne nuclear bomb as a pre-emptive strike to wipeout NATO’s nuclear launch capabilities before an all-out attack on America? There are people already inside the United States who are just waiting for the order to mount an attack on us. We must be prepared and stay vigilant.

So sad that the government thinks more of the foreigners than the citizens that live here! Security needs to be tightened–not loosened! Get “woke” out of the system! It has ruined so much!

About ten years ago we had someone trying to outrun city police run the gate near SAC Headquarters at Offutt AFB. At the time we had contract officers for gate guards with no ammo. But they did permit the city police to pursue the guy on base.

Fortunately, base police located near the Headquarters intercepted the speeder. Unfortunately for the speeder, they killed him. Boy did the civil libertarian lawyers complain about that. However, shortly thereafter, we got back armed military gate guards.
