ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1889: On this day in history, April 16th, the Oklahoma Land Rush began, with thousands of settlers racing to stake their claims on unassigned lands in what is now Oklahoma. The land rush was a pivotal event in the history of the American West, marking the opening of millions of acres of previously unclaimed land for settlement and development…… READ MORE ABOUT THIS HISTORIC DAY HERE

Well, folks, today’s story is a classic example of how the left is trampling on free speech and individual rights. We have here a situation where a female swimmer, Riley Gaines, was mobbed and assaulted by a group of transgender activists at San Francisco State University, simply because she was speaking her mind. It’s a shame that these activists have become so intolerant that they cannot even let someone express their opinion peacefully. The irony is that these activists claim to be fighting for human rights, yet they are denying Gaines her right to free speech and freedom of assembly.

What’s even more concerning is the response of the AS president Karina Zamora and the university administration. They are blaming Gaines and the conservative group Turning Points USA for promoting discriminatory rhetoric towards trans woman athletes. Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t see how expressing one’s opinion on a particular topic is equivalent to discrimination. This is a classic tactic of the left, to label any speech that they disagree with as hate speech or discrimination. It’s a slippery slope when we start censoring speech in this manner.

Zamora also claims that the protesters followed the university’s Time, Place, and Manner guidelines, yet they were still given unwarranted warning cards and threatened with arrest. This seems like a clear attempt to intimidate and silence those who disagree with the left’s agenda. Let’s not forget the excessive police presence that was used to enforce these guidelines. The presence of police was both excessive and uncalled for. It’s clear that the university administration has failed to uphold the principles that it claims to stand for.

Now, let me be clear. I believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their gender identity. I believe in freedom, you want to wear a dress and put on make up go right ahead, it’s a free country. But don’t go taking away other people’s freedom of speech just because they refuse to bend to your delusions. EVERY AMERICAN has the right to express one’s opinion without fear of violence or retaliation. The left needs to stop weaponizing their ideas and start engaging in civil discourse. If they want to convince people of their ideas, they need to do so through reasoned arguments and evidence, not through violence and intimidation.

And let’s not forget the irony of the situation. Gaines, a female athlete, was speaking out against policies that allow biological males to compete in women’s sports. This is not discrimination, it’s common sense. We need to protect women’s sports and ensure that biological females have a fair chance to compete. The left’s insistence on pushing their gender ideology at the expense of women’s rights is both absurd and dangerous.

We cannot let the left’s intolerance and censorship take hold in our society. We need to stand up for our rights and push back against these dangerous ideologies. Riley Gaines deserves our support and respect, and we need to ensure that her voice is heard.
