Basketball Coach Restrained During Expletive-Filled Ejection [Video]

Vanderbilt head coach Jerry Stackhouse was restrained by several members of his coaching staff and a police officer following his ejection from this week’s game against VCU.

Tensions mounted during the game’s second half when Vanderbilt player Liam Robbins got a technical foul. Stackhouse, unhappy with the call, yelled at the officials and received two technical fouls — resulting in an automatic ejection from the game.

Videos of the incident show an irate Stackhouse charging toward the referees and screaming “f—k you.” He was escorted to the locker room.

Stackhouse, a two-time NBA All Star, has been Vanderbilt’s head coach since 2019. The team now holds a 3-4 record after losing to VCU.

ESPN Host Walks Off Set After Joke “Crossed the Line” [Video]

Tensions rose during an ESPN broadcast when an analyst cracked a joke about his co-analyst’s wife.

SEC host Peter Burns jokingly asked his co-host Ben Watson, a former NFL player, if he didn’t “get the memo” about wearing a dark suit for the broadcast. Burns and the other two hosts, Chris Doering and Takeo Spikes, were all wearing dark suits while Watson wore a light blue suit.

“We all went dark today, you’re like Easter service,” Burns quipped.

Watson retorted that he didn’t care “as long as I get a text from my wife that says I look good.”

Burns then quipped, “That’s not the text she sent me.”

At that point, the broadcast cut to highlights of the Florida-Vanderbilt game. When the show came back from a commercial break, only Doering and Spikes were at the desk.

“Just you and I here, Takeo,” Doering said. Watson made his way back to the desk, as Doering added that he was “not sure what happened to Peter Burns.”

“Did you have him keep your wife’s name out of his mouth?” Doering asked Watson.

“Huh?” Watson responded, as he sat down and slammed his phone on the desk.

“We’ll see how Peter Burns is with that smart mouth in the second half,” Doering said jokingly.

Burns later tweeted a selfie with Watson, alongside the hashtag “friendship.”

Watson responded to the post, writing, “Moving on. But you still owe [Mrs.] Watson a public apology.”

Burns later posted a public apology.

“While it was [a] joke, the truth is that I crossed the line, you should never joke about family so that I owe a public apology to Ben & Kirsten 100%,” he wrote on Twitter. “[Watson] couldn’t have handled it better with his humor and class.”

Burns said they were “all good” and he was “proud to call [Watson] a friend & coworker.”

Teacher Fired After Racial Comments Go Viral

A Texas middle school teacher has been fired after a video of an “inappropriate conversation” gained viral attention on social media.

In the video, the unidentified teacher is talking with some students inside a classroom at Bohls Middle School in Pflugerville.

“Deep down in my heart, I’m ethnocentric, which means I think my race is the superior one,” the teacher says in the video.

Several parents told local ABC affiliate KVUE that the situation is disheartening.

“I think the most disturbing piece is that it was a situation where kids had experienced this real-time,” said Dr. Shante Lyons, a parent of a student in the district.

“There are other personal experiences we’ve had as people of color that we had individually, but to see this in the classroom setting is just not acceptable,” said parent Brian Hennington.

Pflugerville Independent School District (ISD) Superintendent Dr. Douglas Killian released a statement confirming that the teacher was no longer employed.

On Friday, Nov. 11, District officials “were made aware of an inappropriate conversation a teacher at Bohls Middle School had with students during an advisory class.”

As of the following Monday morning, “the teacher in question is no longer employed by Pflugerville ISD and we are actively looking for a replacement.”

“We want to reiterate that this conversation does not align with our core beliefs and is not a reflection of our district or our culture at Bohls Middle School. Pflugerville ISD and Bohls MS staff work together to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all of our students. The advisory discussion was inappropriate, inaccurate, and unacceptable; and this type of interaction will not be tolerated in any PfISD schools,” the statement read.

Killian noted that the video “prompted local and national media attention.” The superintendent apologized to “any parents whose students have been included in the video without their knowledge.”

“We apologize to our students and families at Bohls Middle School for the undue stress or concern this has caused,” the statement continued. “We always do our best to ensure the safety of all students; we encourage them to be self-advocates and let an adult know when something is wrong, as they did in this situation. If you see something, say something.”

AOC Rebuked Over “Patently False” Remarks

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) drew sharp criticism over comments she made about crime in New York City, which some decried as “patently false.”

The self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist was a guest on the popular radio show “The Breakfast Club” earlier this week. She denied that violent crime is on the rise in New York City, saying that it’s actually gone down.

“A lot of people think that crime is up, when we actually see that shootings are down, when we see that huge indicators on the most violent crime in New York City is down,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

The left-wing lawmaker then criticized NYC Mayor Eric Adams and Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) for putting more police officers on subway platforms, claiming that the added police presence was responsible for rising crime on the MTA.

“Subway crime is up. But let’s also note that subway crime is up after they committed so many more officers to the subway system. So that also tells us from a policy perspective, adding more cops to the subway isn’t solving this problem,” she added.

Ocasio-Cortez’s claims contradict recent crime data. Crime on the city’s transit system is up 41% this year, while overall crime in NYC is up 29.6%.

Panelists on the Fox News show “Outnumbered” discussed the congresswoman’s remarks, calling them “patently false,” and saying that if she believes her claims, “she’s not fit to serve.”

“It’s absolutely, patently false for her to be saying that police presence does not deter crime and to blame violent attacks or rise in crime on our New York City’s finest,” said co-host Emily Compagno.

“She’s delusional,” said Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery. “She’s flat-out wrong. If she believes it, she’s not fit to serve.”

Co-host Kayleigh McEnany noted that while Democrats have continued to win the governor’s seat, their margin of victory has been steadily narrowing since 2018. Hochul beat her midterm challenger Lee Zeldin (R) by just five points in this year’s race.

“So there was a significant recognition here in New York that something is awry,” McEnany said.

“Everyone’s going to Florida,” she added. “They’re going to Florida for a reason because those policies work.”

Man Arrested After Throwing Beer Cans at Ted Cruz [Video]

1998: Brokerage houses are ordered to pay 1.03 billion USD to NASDAQ investors to compensate for price-fixing – largest civil settlement in U.S. history.

Police arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly hurling two beer cans at Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) during a parade celebrating the Houston Astros’ World Series victory.

The Houston Police Department said Cruz was on a parade float on Monday when a man threw two unopened 12 oz. beers cans at the lawmaker. One of the cans struck Cruz in the “chest/neck area” but he did not require any medical attention, police said.

Video of the incident shows Cruz atop a parade float when a beer can narrowly misses his face, hitting his hand as he attempts to block the beverage.

Police said the suspect, Joseph Halm Arcidiacono, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The 33-year-old’s bond was set at $40,000 and he’s been released from custody, according to a report.

While he was being detained, Arcidiacono reportedly told officers, “I know, I’m an idiot. I’m sorry.”

The Houston man is expected to make an appearance in court on Wednesday.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) decried the incident on Twitter.

“Don’t throw beer or commit violence against someone you politically disagree with. We are a country of voting not violence,” Swalwell tweeted.

CNN Anchor Says Democrats “Don’t Want to Be Seen” with Biden

CNN anchor Don Lemon said Democratic Senate candidates clearly “don’t want to be seen” with President Joe Biden.

The “CNN This Morning” anchor and his cohosts, Kaitlan Collins and Poppy Harlow, were discussing the latest poll numbers, which showed another dip in Biden’s popularity as well as lackluster numbers for multiple Democrat-held seats in both chambers of Congress. The 56-year-old noted that Democrats struggling in the polls have no desire to be spotted next to Biden on the campaign trail.

Collins said Biden’s declining approval numbers were “a big factor” behind the president’s minimal campaign stops leading up to the midterms.

“He is not going to the places that you’re seeing former President Obama go to,” she aid. “It’s because of that approval rating.”

“And a lot of people are not … you know, they don’t want to be seen with the president, quite frankly, and they don’t even want to answer the question about whether they should be running with him, or having him on the campaign trail, or if they’ll support him come 2024,” Lemon responded.

The few appearances Biden has made were marred by gaffes and inaccurate statements. His campaign stops for Democratic candidates have been so poorly received that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) jokingly offered to pay Biden to keep campaigning in the Sunshine State.

“I think it’s an in-kind contribution to my campaign,” DeSantis said of Biden’s stumping for his Democratic challenger Charlie Crist. “I just want to make the offer publicly. We will underwrite him to stay in Florida for the rest of the campaign. If Joe wants to stay, it’ll be on our dime and we’d love for the people of Florida to be reminded that the Democrats in this state are with Biden 100% of the time.”

Parkland Victim’s Grandma Tells Gunman to “Burn in Hell” [Video]

The sentencing hearing for the gunman in the February 2018 Parkland, Florida, school shooting began on Tuesday, with the victims’ families giving emotional addresses to the shooter.

Nikolas Cruz, 24, fatally shot 14 students and three staff members and wounded 17 others at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, 2018. Cruz pleaded guilty to 17 counts of murder and 17 counts of attempted murder. He evaded the death penalty under Florida law, with a jury recommending that he be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

On Tuesday, survivors and family members of those killed in the shooting gave powerful statements to Cruz in a Fort Lauderdale court before the sentence is formally announced.

Many victims’ family members expressed outrage at the jury’s verdict, arguing that Cruz’s heinous crimes warranted the death penalty.

Terri Rabinovitz, grandmother of 14-year-old victim Alyssa Alhadeff, told Cruz that he should “write a book on how you and your defense counsel beat the judicial system and got away with murder.”

“I’m too old to see you live out your life sentence, but I hope your every breathing moment here on earth is miserable and you repent for your sins, Nikolas, and burn in hell,” Rabinovitz said.

Patricia Oliver, mother of 17-year-old victim Joaquin, delivered an impassioned statement, saying that if this case “doesn’t deserve the death penalty, what does?”

“You had in your head enjoyment,” Oliver said directly to Cruz. “Listen to me, defendant — enjoyment while killing my son, Joaquin Oliver, and coming back to him to blow his brain out.”

“Your living hell is about to get started,” she said. “Joaquin is a legend for what he is and for what he will be. Nice, kind, humble. And you will remember every single day of your life about what Joaquin is.”

Max Schachter, father of 14-year-old victim Alex, accused Cruz’s attorneys of “making the mental health crisis in America worse by misrepresenting what actually happened to the Parkland murderer.”

“The defense, in their closing argument, said if he had just had the proper diagnosis, things would be different,” Schachter said. “Nothing would’ve changed. … He was on medicine after medicine … and he still wants to kill.”

Schachter said Cruz grew up “in a loving home” raised by a mother who tried to help him.

“He had well over 200 individual sessions with mental health professionals. … They tried everything, they couldn’t have given him more services,” he continued.

“But you can’t fix evil.”

“He hunted down innocent children and staff, terrified then tortured them, blew their heads apart like a water balloon and enjoyed it,” Schachter said, adding that Cruz “does not deserve to live amongst us.”

Schachter said, while incarcerated, Cruz “gets to receive phone calls, boxes of fan mail. He gets to fall in love and get married. He gets a tablet to email and text people. He gets to receive visitors. He gets to watch TV … and even get a college degree.”

Obama Heckled During Campaign Rally

1952: “Ivy Mike”, the first thermonuclear weapon to utilize the H-bomb design of Edward Teller and Stanislaw Ulam, is detonated in the Marshall Islands, Pacific Ocean.

Former President Barack Obama was interrupted by a heckler at a Democratic campaign rally in Michigan, while he was discussing the recent assault on Paul Pelosi.

Obama was in Michigan to campaign for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) and other Democratic candidates ahead of the midterm elections. He was speaking about the attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, saying that violent political rhetoric was to blame.

“If our rhetoric about each other gets that mean, when we don’t just disagree with people but we start demonizing, making wild, crazy allegations about them, that creates a dangerous climate,” Obama said.

“If elected officials don’t do more to explicitly reject that kind of rhetoric, if they tacitly support it or encourage their supporters to stand up outside voting places armed with guns and dressed in tactical gear, more people can get hurt,” he added.

“We got politicians who work to stir up division to try to make us angry and afraid of one another for their own advantage, and all of it gets amped up, hyped up 24/7 by social media,” Obama said. “And sometimes it can turned dangerous.”

A protester could be heard saying “Mr. President,” followed by inaudible comments.

“Sir, this is what I mean,” Obama responded.

“Sir, we’ve got a — there is a process that we set up in our democracy. Right now, I’m talking, you’ll have a chance to talk sometime soon,” he continued. “We don’t have to interrupt each other. We don’t have to shout each other down.”

The former president was interrupted roughly seven minutes later by an additional heckler, according to the New York Post.

Obama asked: “Do we have another person yelling at me? Is that what you’re doing?”

Hot Mic: Chuck Schumer Caught Saying Democrats Are “Going Downhill” [Video]

1917: British government gives final approval to Balfour Declaration.

A live microphone caught Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) telling President Joe Biden that Democrats are “going downhill” in Georgia, dumbfounded that Republican candidate Herschel Walker might win the state’s Senate race.

Schumer also admitted that John Fetterman, the Democratic candidate in the Pennsylvania Senate race, damaged his chances with a lackluster debate performance.

“It looks like the debate didn’t hurt us too much in Pennsylvania as of today,” Schumer told Biden on during the President’s trip to New York on Thursday. “So that’s good.”

Fetterman had a stroke earlier this year, and is still dealing with lingering effects that impact his ability to communicate. Fox News reported that he needed closed captioning to understand comments from Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz and debate moderators.

Schumer also referred to another seat that he was pessimistic about.

“That seat, we’re in danger in that seat,” Schumer said. “We’ll see.”

It wasn’t clear which seat Schumer was referencing, but he appeared to be responding to Sen. Kristen Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), who had said the person is a “nice man” and “one of the only moderates” who “always works with us.”

The live microphone also caught Schumer saying he believed that the Democrats are “picking up steam in Nevada.”

“The state where we’re going down, though, is Georgia. It’s hard to believe that they will go for Herschel Walker,” he added.

VP Harris Mocked Online: “They Really Can’t Let Her Talk in Public”

1919: Volstead Act passed by U.S. Congress, establishing prohibition, despite President Woodrow Wilson’s veto.

Vice President Kamala Harris was on the receiving of internet mockery after her comments about “yellow school buses” during an appearance in Washington state this week.

Harris delivered remarks at Lumen Field in Seattle announcing the nearly $1 billion being awarded to school districts to replace older buses with electric vehicles. The VP stood in front of four electric school buses during the appearance, sparking comments about her affinity for yellow school buses that some dubbed “embarrassing.”

“Who doesn’t love a yellow school bus, right? Can you raise your hand if you love a yellow school bus? Many of us went to school on the yellow school bus, right? It’s part of our experience growing up. It’s part of a nostalgia, a memory of the excitement and joy of going to school to be with your favorite teacher, to be with your best friends and to learn. The school bus takes us there,” Harris said.

Radio host Clay Travis tweeted: “Democrats have been hiding Kamala, but she just had a press conference and talked about yellow school buses and my goodness they really can’t let her talk in public about anything.”

“Okay changed my mind about (John) Fetterman,” quipped The Spectator contributing editor Stephen Miller, referencing Fetterman’s recent panned debate performance.

CNN contributor Mary Katherine Ham joked: “Please sing Wheels on the Bus, please sing Wheels on the Bus.”

“Selina Meyer,” The Federalist’s Eddie Scarry tweeted, referencing Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character on the HBO comedy series “Veep.”
